About Me!!
Hi! I’m Olivia, a future elementary French Immersion teacher who believes classrooms should feel safe, engaging, a little messy sometimes, and honestly kind of fun.
I love hands-on learning, interdisciplinary projects, and the kind of lessons where students get excited enough to talk over each other because they want to share ideas. Over practicum, I realized students learn best when they feel comfortable enough to participate, make mistakes, ask questions, and just be themselves.
I also learned pretty quickly that teaching is way less polished than I imagined going into practicum. Some lessons completely flopped, some unexpectedly became my favourites, and some of the best moments came from just taking a risk and trying something new.
As a teacher, I hope to create classrooms that feel supportive, flexible, welcoming, and full of learning that students actually remember.
